It’s no secret that Nashville is one of my all time favorite cities! I seriously miss it everyday and would move back in a heart beat! There’s just something about live music, comfort food and the incredible hospitality of Tennesseeans that just makes you want to come back every year or just never leave. I’ve FINALLY sat down to compile a list of my favorite hot spots + must dos in Nashville!
WHERE TO STAY:
When I say this has easily been MY FAVORITE hotel I’ve stayed at in Nashville, I mean it!! The Renaissance Nashville Hotel is located in the heart of the new 5th & Broadway shopping center and steps away from Broadway.
The hotel is filled with salutes to Music City’s most famous faces, and has a very country but modern feel. Some of my favorite parts included:
- Little Fib Restaurant – we enjoyed a yummy brunch here! Highly recommend the strawberry mimosa!
- Bridge Bar – the BEST views overlooking downtown Nashville. Grab a drink here at sunset… you won’t regret it. Also loved the steak salad!
- Nashville Music City themed rooms – the rooms were clean, tidy and made you feel like you were living the Nashville experience. Big fan of the comfy beds too!
- Five Chords Mercantile Coffee Bar – having a coffee bar right at our fingertips was a huge plus when we needed a little pick me up. Plus you can grab snacks and souvenirs as well.
- Fun & flirty installations for photos – It wouldn’t be a proper Nashville trip if you didn’t document it! 😉
But the best part is honestly THE LOCATION!! Because The Renaissance Nashville Hotel is connected to the 5th & Broadway shopping center, you are literally feet away from so many hot spots! Walking out… you have endless shopping, Hattie B’s famous chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, The Nash Collection shop, and STUDS! I would 1000% bring my family back to stay here!
FAVORITE RESTAURANTS/BARS:
- Hampton Social – my personal favorite hot spot for a drink with the gals! I would recommend getting a reservation to have brunch or dinner, but the rooftop is available for walk-ins. It’s filled with girly details and tons of photo opportunities. If you’re with a big group of friends, order the guitar and get your shots on! Otherwise, the white tea shooters and The Getaway Marg are to die for!
- Twelve Thirty Club – this bar/restaurant is owned by Justin Timberlake… Do I need to elaborate more? Good music, yummy small bites and the espresso martini is the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation for dinner. However, the rooftop is first come, first serve, and SO fun during the day!
- Bar Taco – Located in 12 South. Has the best tacos and margaritas plus its right next to the famous I Believe in Nashville Mural. Put your name in for dinner and walk around the corner to grab your Iconic pic!
- LA Jackson Bar – Located in the Gulch, and overlooks the entire surrounding Nashville area. We love a good happy hour here (and always see Nashville celebs).
- Frothy Monkey – The best coffee you will EVER taste! Trust me, it’s worth a stop. Plus they have a great breakfast!
- Tooties Orchid Bar – Located on Broadway, Tootsies world-famous honky-tonk, has operated across the alley from the Ryman almost continuously since 1960! The bands that play at Tootsies are amazing and the song choices always perfect for a Nashville day or night! It’s an iconic bar and a must see in Nash!
- The Stage – A personal favorite bar located on Broadway! Three levels of live country music just speaks to my soul! Saturday nights are always my favorite.
- STK – If you’re looking for a bougie dinner spot… you’ve found it! My mouth is watering just thinking about their truffle pasta and filet steak. Fabulous drinks, and steps away from great shopping! Order the Espresso shots and head to Broadway after.
OTHER MUST DOS:
- Grand Ole Opry – A famous Music City must! I would definitely recommend looking up who is playing while you’re in Nashville. Filled with tons of history, and always a highlight of our trip. Nothing beats live music in one of the most famous country music hot spots.
- Country Music Hall Of Fame – If you know your country music history this is a fun one! And if you don’t its fun to learn and see all the costumes the legends wore!
- The Gulch – Another great outdoor shopping center featuring tons of stores (Kittenish, Vici, etc…) and yummy restaurants!
